It’s not just about the cosmetic beauty I find in it, but it’s something I love, because It’s like a memento. Where were you in life when you got it done? What were you thinking? What compelled you to get a piercing/tattoo/have your ears stretched?
It’s interesting and everyone usually has a different reason for their mods. One person with stretched ears may have a 100% different reason for doing it than someone else who has been stretching the same amount of time or someone the same size as them.
It’s fun, and honestly it’s like a part of me I will truly love no matter what. Some mornings I get up and I’m not feeling so great about my appearance, but that never happens with my piercings/ears. I am always happy to see them. It’s like a little reminder that I’m beautiful, and I will only start to become more beautiful with time (and probably more mods!)
Once they’re fully healed I’m going to take them and get my piercer to put them in cause I’m hopeless at getting those on..
I did heaps more searching around about the gum erosion. Considering the pain and already evident dent in my lower gums I decided to take it out. Watching it closely till the holes close..
oh my god I just remember all the hilarious jokes people made about them and how the soccer players fucking hated them…good times good times.
